Another round of birthday celebration, this time is with the Sun-U gang and we chose Nihon Kai as the place for this celebration after hearing a number of compliments bout this restaurant. Located at Sunway Mentari, Nihon Kai is a Japanese restaurant serving fresh and good-tasting dishes with generous portion yet affordable price, a great place for group celebration although their private dining room is not spacious enough, 14 people is the max i think

A unique cake for our birthday gul, Nihon Kai 'sushi cake' a.k.a maki for RM38

Their chef helped us to slice it up since we do not hv the skill to handle this kind of cake, better leave it to the professional

with purchase of a sushi cake and total bill exceed RM100, u will get this 'sushi tower' for free, and most importantly, it tastes as good as it looks !!!

Hong Yi's Birthday Celebration @ The Uma, The Strand Kota Damansara

With my pre-u buddies again, this time we had a birthday celebration for Hong yi at The Uma, Balinese restaurant which offered non halal authentic balinese cuisine with extensive menu selection from a la carte to set meal. Romantic ambiance and exotic decoration which is pretty suitable for couples and honeymooners to hv a pleasant meal together ^^

We chose to sit in the 2nd floor since it is much more spacious

 Jus Apokat, Indonesian Favourite Avocado Juice with some chocolate drizzle (RM10), if u think this will be a greasy drink den u are wrong, it was surprisingly refreshing, recommended~~

 Spicy Blood Mango (RM9), monin spicy mango & blood orange syrup, lemon grass, star anise & soda. Weird yet creative enough, 1st time ever saw some spices and chili padi in a drink, but taste pretty normal, just like some syrup water with a hint of spiciness

 Jus Markisa (RM7), soothing passion fruit juice with lime & mint, another refreshing choice

We ordered the set meal for 4 persons to share. Paket A, come with main dishes which includes braised pork meat in kecap manis, balinese grilled half chicken, and grilled tuna in banana leaf, together with some condiments (minced fish satay, assem pork satay, balinese pork sausage, hard boiled egg with sambal, mixed vege salad, stir fry long bean, and spiced potato fries)

Once again, happy birthday to our birthday boy~~ ^^

An Unfussy Sunday Brunch @ The Redbean Bag, Publika Solaris Dutamas

Met up with Mei again b4 she hv to leave KL to Liverpool to further her study. She became my best food hunting kaki recently who noe how to appreciate the work of chefs at the height of their creativity and hardwork, she really does XD As recommemded by my pre-u fren, we decided to settle down in this modern contemporary Australian-inspired cafe which makes u feel like home with those friendly and accomodating staffs, definitely will revisit this place again ~~~

Located at the opposite of Publika’s open spaced Ben’s

A bright and cheerish atmosphere

Hot Mocha (9.00) with fancy coffee art, catering for both of ur sense of taste and sight

Intensely Chocolaty Hot Chocolate (RM8.50) with rich taste and smooth texture

 Egg Atlantic (RM17.90), poached eggs with hollandaise, asparagus, mushrooms, and smoked salmon, too yummy to resist ~~~

 Don Scallopino, seaweed rissoto served with seared scallops and seafood (RM22.90 for entree, RM27.90 for main), rich texture of rice burst with the pleasant aroma of seaweed, recommended to share between two if u r not a big eater (for the 'main')

Cherry Cheese Slice (RM10.90), not included in the menu, ask their staffs for this heavenly treats
